(1978) Stu Redman. There is also the 1994 mini-series available on DVD with Gary Sinise as Stu Redman.

(1981) Simon Jones as Arthur Dent. This is superior to the Martin Freeman 2005 adaptation. It’s worth watching, I suppose; my favorite scene is when the ship lands on a happy crab, which isn’t saying a lot.

(1968) Charlton Heston as George Taylor. This is adapted from a good 1963 novel, La Planète des singes, by Pierre Boulle. It is a dystopian novel with a different ending, however, which is why I didn’t include it. There is also the Mark Wahlberg 2001 adaptation, and due to its plot, I also didn’t think it belonged in a Last Human list. Or not. It may just be because I thought it was cheesy.
