Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com Review
Bamboo, which grows quickly and can be sustainably harvested, now replaces maple for many home applications, such as flooring and kitchen tools. This cutting board, made like a butcher block with the tough end grains forming the cutting surface, is harder than maple and stands up to heavy-duty chopping of meats and vegetables. Bamboo has its own distinctive good looks, and MIU France has designed the pieces to form a light-colored border around a darker center. Medium-sized, the bamboo cutting board measures 11-1/4 by 11-1/4 by 1-1/3 inches and can be wiped clean. --Ann Bieri
Customer Reviews
It cracks and you cannot get the glue from a label off
This is a great board.
But it cracks in a few months down the middle.
We oil it regularly and never soak it in water.
Also some glue in the center of the board from a label
not able to remove...
Do not like cracked bamboo cutting boards do you?

I bought this board in spite of the caveat about the sticky glue. Here's what not to try. First, I laid wet sponges on the glue for a couple of hours, then tried to scrub the glue off with a 3M green thing. Then I tried WD40 as a solvent (the glue got stickier), and tried more scrubbing. Then acetone, bad-bad (This will whiten the surface). Then I oiled it. I still has marks, but after a couple of years of use no one will notice. It's a neat board otherwise.
