Editorial Review
Designed by a robotics physicist who worked at NASA, the hulking Robosapien looks like a Star Wars stormtrooper on steroids, with a stark black and white body and massive shoulders and feet. However, this Mini version is truly a baby compared to the regular Robosapien (B000161RFA), with much more limited functionality. Flip a switch on its back, and the Mini marches forward, assisted by little wheels on its feet. Levers behind the shoulders flip the arms outward, while buttons on the forearms open the robot’s claw-like hands, enabling it to pick up things. The Mini Robosapien is very solidly constructed, though its mobility seems somewhat limited. Two AAA batteries are required. --Andy Boynton

mini robosapien
My 8 year old son bought the mini robosapien and asked me to transcribe his review. So in his words this is what he thinks of the mini-robosapien...
The mini robosapien does not have a remote control, but it is still fun to play with. It's eyes light up and it can walk. The hands and arms move by pressing buttons on the robots back. The grippers really work and can hold different things. I really like this toy and think you should try one out.
A HUGE Disapointment!!!!!
This toy is a BIG disapointment. After I put the batteries in it, I was really excited to turn it on and see what it could do, but when I turned it on, all it did was walk nonstop. I am not kidding, but i wish I was. YOU have to press and hold a button to make it pick things up and you have to move this thing up and down to make its arms move up and down. That is all it does. If I were you, I would wait until the mini robosapien v2 and the regular robosapien v2 come out. I am not sure what the mini v2 does, but I know that the regular v2 is going to be AWESOME!!!! So I would either wait til' the v2 comes out, wait til' robopet comes out, or get the regular roboraptor. If you want to see what roboraptor does, I'd go to Best Buy. They have one out of the box that you can mess around with. All this is just my opinion, but if you want to get it, I would suggest you keep the box neat so you can put it back in if you want to return it. That's what I did.
A breath of freash air!
This is a cool toy/friend! Not as advanced as the normal, but still a good robot buddy. He can carry 3 pencils at once, and still move no problem! His wrists can move, his elbows can move, and it can move its head! And best of all: travel sized BABY! His head shield (purple) is cool.
Cons: Not a lot of personality, no remote, a wee bit slow, and...... nothin' else!
He is a true robo buddy. He will hold me till...I wont tell you. :-)
