I like the Sky Fly4
I highly recommend this plane. But if you are a beginner, fly in NO WIND, and short, low flights until you can land it. Land it on grass with wings level and you will not get damage.

My Sky Fly must have 150 flights on it. Still love it. My local hobby sells the parts and they are very reasonable. I did lose the receiver unit when the main wing failed at very high loading (bottom of a half loop) and the plane flew straight in to the ground...POW! Really should not have been doing that with a damaged wing. The receiver unit is spendy ($65), so I just bought a new Sky Fly and got an extra everything that way. Other than that, the aircraft has survived many bad crashes really well as I was learning to fly R/C for the first time. If the wing gets beat up, for $10 you can get a new one.

Hint: Before each flight check the plastic thumbwheel adjusters on rudder and elevator. If not pretty tight, DO NOT FLY. If either of these loosens in flight, you are TOAST and will crash bad. Just get a tiny little phillips screwdriver and make sure these little knobs are tight, but don't overtighten, just so they are medium hard to adjust.

Great - but difficult.4
I got this for my dad, and gave it to him as an early X-mas present, so that we could actually fly it b/4 it got too cold outside. It was a light but variable wind day, and in still wind it was flying GREAT! Unfortunately, we're both absolute beginners, and when the wind picked up (randomly, as wind tends to do) it was blowing the plane toward the houses. Two HARD crashes later - first one - torn wing (little packing tape, no problem) second one - big nose dent and front landing gear popped off, but reattached no problem, we decided to head to a bigger field down the street.
Smooth flight. A few takeoffs, circle once or twice, and gentle landings later we were feeling a little braver. I sent it to the other end of the field where I just couldn't tell which way it was facing and had a less than graceful wing over tail rolling landing. No damage. My dad's turn. After a few gentle circles, he got it stuck in a tree. Broken tail rudder. We're going to try using a little tape, but I've got a new one on order for 6 bucks, so it's not the end of the world...
Performance? Great. From an obviously beginner opinion, plenty of push from the propeller. It gets up in the air quite easily, and I recommend backing off the throttle after you get going and just coast up there... Not cut the engine completely, just backing off and giving a bit more throttle when needed. But it is rather light and responsive to wind almost as much as controls.
Beginner mode - probably a good idea, but the instinct is that if the plane isn't turning quickly enough you give more rudder, and it tries to climb to help your turn. Many times we ended up with the nose pointed straight up in the air resulting in uncontrolled swoops downward.
Battery life - really great. The entire outing was a few hours, and overall it was probably about :45 solid flying. There was still battery left, but no idea how much as that it was getting dark by the time we called it a day after shaking/poking the plane out of the tree.
Try and find a LARGE area without houses, trees, bird feeders, and the like especially if you are as beginner as we were.
Price - great for the features. There isn't anything under the $100 category that has anywhere near the range of control. Most are 2 prop variable speed controls.

I got this plane for fathers day and have been playing with it/repairing it ever since. It's a easy plane to fly and i also recommend flying it on expert mode because it's so easy. I have however, crashed it a few times and have had to buy a few parts.They were fairly cheap! If you are not handy don't buy this plane. Here is my advice for learning to fly this plane.1) Learn how to land the plane first.Hand launch it, let it fly straight for a few yards and then land it. 2) Don't fly the plane with full throttle until you have gained experience, the plane will glide and you can still have control over it's movement. 3) when you crash(not if) the plane, look over the plane for missing parts and then search the crash site. Thats what i have learned so far. I have flown the plane maybe 4 or 5 times now and i am fairly comfortable with. It's very fun and easy. Just go easy on the gas!!!
