Customer Reviews

Excellent resource!5
Excellent resource for anyone planning a first trip or their 10th trip to the UK. Price wise it's a steal for the wealth of information it contains. In addition to places to see, how to get there, where to stay, eating and entertainment, Rick also includes historical and cultural information to enrich your travel experience.

Not a bad book all round. Disappointed there is nothing much about Cornwall though. This is one of the areas we plan to focus on.

A valuable resource while traveling to GB.5
I used this last year during a 6 week work assignment in Wales. I found time to tour Scotland and England also and found the book helpful. You cannot go wrong with Rick's travel guides. They are the best I have seen. I normally buy a couple of travel guides to take for each trip but 90% of the time I only use the Rick Steve's books. They are just more formatted for what interest me and are easy to use. I have used his Paris edition, Italy edition, and the Great Britain edition. What I like about it is once you use one, it is easy to find information you need in the others because the layout is the same. When traveling in foreign countries I rely on Rick's books while there just like I rely on my Garmin here in the states, its that useful. I have also found that the books have offered enough money saving tips that they have always paid for themselves once I get over there. You just can't go wrong.
