Books by Arnold Lazarus
Dr. Arnold A. Lazarus is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Rutgers University. He has also served on the faculties of Stanford, Yale, and Temple University Medical School. He was the first to use the terms "behavior therapy" and "behavior therapist" in a professional publication (1958), and went on to innovate and develop many behavior therapy techniques. In his book Behavior Therapy and Beyond (1971), he stressed the need to add cognitive factors to the usual behavioral repertoire, and this book is arguably one of the first on cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Dr. Lazarus has authored or co-authored over 200 articles and chapters, and more than 16 books. He was a founding member of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy (AABT), and has received many honors and awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Psychological Association.
