A lot of fondant
I was a little disappointed that most of the cakes in this book require fondant. The cakes are cute but I was hoping to decorate without fondant.

Great ideas
I sent this book to my sister-in-law a year ago and she has already worked her way through 6 of these cakes without any difficulty at all. My neice and nephew have picked out their cakes for the next 6 years of birthdays and special days and it has become an almost monthy event to sit and talk about future events and plans.
