This album made as much headlines for its risque sleeve as it did for its music. The sleeve showing two semi naked females was controversial for its time. The album had to be shrink wrapped in USA and even some countries had alternative versions of the cover photo showing only the a close up of the girls faces and some issues had just the background foilage only.

SEXY, SEXY......

Roxy Music's third album was released October 1973 and reached number 1 on the UK album charts. This album seen for the first time the songwriting talents of Andy Mackay on A Song For Europe & Phil Manzanera on Amazona. The album was promoted by the single Street Life which reached number 9 in the UK singles chart.

Roxy Music's seventh studio album was released in May 1980 and was in the UK album charts for 60 weeks reaching the number 1 spot on 28th June 1980 for 1 week then again for another 3 weeks on 23rd August. The album saw for the first time on a Roxy Music album, two cover versions. Wilson Picket's 'In The Midnight Hour' and The Byrds 'Eight Miles High'.

The original pressing had a rock version of Angel Eyes with an addtional fourth verse and Dance Away had a ballad version. These were both found on the picture disc pressing and also on CD3 on The Thrill Of It All box set.
