![]() | Myth Takes
Buy new: $42.98 / Used from: $4.99 This album is suprisingly very catchy and original. Its seems everyone likes this band 'Because you can dance to it', but this is so much more than that. A perfect and diverse experimental/electronica album.

![]() | The Milk of Human Kindness by Caribou
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $6.39 An odd album. Experimentation with dense atmospheres. A very interesting listen, though nothing extraordinary.
![]() | Feels by Animal Collective
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $7.15 Another just plain wierd album. Very dense and interesting. Definately something that takes more than two listens to sink in. Layers upon layers of lush instrumental arrangments that remain very obscure and yet entertaining. A true gem.
![]() | You Forgot It in People by Broken Social Scene
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $5.46 A very pleasing album. Fuzzy, experimental and truly touching. A very artsy and catchy experience.
![]() | Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.26 A jazz/fusion classic. Its rather hard to see where Miles is going in this long, raveling, freeform release. Maybe sometimes lacks focus, but this is overall a very interesting release that has its own shining moments.
![]() | Real Gone by Tom Waits
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $5.99 A super-obscure and off kilter release from Waits. Totally experimental and demented.
![]() | We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank by Modest Mouse
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $5.25 Not as good as previous albums, but still deserves a chance, and stands well on its own merits.

Buy used from: $50.99 Every Floyd fan needs this album. Porcupine's best so far. Less metal, and more spacy prog.

![]() | Slanted & Enchanted: Luxe & Reduxe by Pavement
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $8.53 Speaking of art/punk, the remaster of the first Pavement album contains some 40 odd tracks including an entire live show for the price of one CD. Come on guys, life doesn't get much better than this. A true lo-fi treat.

![]() | Train of Thought by Dream Theater

![]() | Undeceived by Extol
Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $3.66 An amazingly underrated album from one of black metal's finest. Extol delivers a very textured release that never allows for a breath of air. Even though this band is christian, the music reaches a quality that is almost non-existant in the black metal world, surpassed only by Emperor's 'Prometheus...'
![]() | Freaky Styley by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $6.14 RHCP at their funky wierdest. Tons of experimentation and energy. Too bad they would later abandon funk for alternative.
![]() | Uplift Mofo Party Plan by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $6.29 Sees the Peppers turning away from experimentation, but still a very energetic and funky release. Probably their best album to date, right next to 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik'.
![]() | Antipop by Primus
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.77 Widely accused of being the 'sellout album', 'Antipop' is Primus in a more accessable style, yes, but nowhere near a 'sellout'. We see Primus here going bravely where they have formerly dared not. Heavy and proggy, with good production. A grade 'A' release.
![]() | Pork Soda by Primus

![]() | Mr. Bungle by Mr. Bungle
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.99 Demented! The first Mr. Bungle album focuses less on extreme experimentation and more on the heavy, circus-gone-evil theme.

![]() | Deftones by Deftones
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $2.90 Completely underrated. Its a shame that this album had to come after 'White Pony', becuase no album could ever stand up to it. A very good album showing Deftones growing experimental. As always, a very atmospheric release.
![]() | Relationship of Command by At the Drive In
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.00 An amazing release from the Mars Volta's earlier band. A definitive and agressive album.

![]() | The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Buy new: $8.94 / Used from: $4.83 The singer for Floyd when they released the above album. This album isn't for everyone. An odd collaboration of off kilter pop songs written by a mad genius with varying degrees of success. Classic.
