This album is suprisingly very catchy and original. Its seems everyone likes this band 'Because you can dance to it', but this is so much more than that. A perfect and diverse experimental/electronica album.

Another just plain wierd album. Very dense and interesting. Definately something that takes more than two listens to sink in. Layers upon layers of lush instrumental arrangments that remain very obscure and yet entertaining. A true gem.

A jazz/fusion classic. Its rather hard to see where Miles is going in this long, raveling, freeform release. Maybe sometimes lacks focus, but this is overall a very interesting release that has its own shining moments.

Not as good as previous albums, but still deserves a chance, and stands well on its own merits.

Speaking of art/punk, the remaster of the first Pavement album contains some 40 odd tracks including an entire live show for the price of one CD. Come on guys, life doesn't get much better than this. A true lo-fi treat.

A very strong release from Prog-rocks finest. Mainstream? Pshh. This is Dream Theater's metal album. Fast, heavy and totally amazing.

An amazingly underrated album from one of black metal's finest. Extol delivers a very textured release that never allows for a breath of air. Even though this band is christian, the music reaches a quality that is almost non-existant in the black metal world, surpassed only by Emperor's 'Prometheus...'

Sees the Peppers turning away from experimentation, but still a very energetic and funky release. Probably their best album to date, right next to 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik'.

One of the better Primus albums. Atmospheric full of the hits, such as 'DMV', 'My Name Is Mud' and 'Mr. Krinkle'

Very good, but I doubt the Mars Volta will ever be able to top 'Frances the Mute'

Demented! The first Mr. Bungle album focuses less on extreme experimentation and more on the heavy, circus-gone-evil theme.

Completely underrated. Its a shame that this album had to come after 'White Pony', becuase no album could ever stand up to it. A very good album showing Deftones growing experimental. As always, a very atmospheric release.

The singer for Floyd when they released the above album. This album isn't for everyone. An odd collaboration of off kilter pop songs written by a mad genius with varying degrees of success. Classic.
