From the Publisher
Raves and reviews from so many of the top agents as well as many aspiring models who have read this fantastic book says it all. Top international agent Kelly Streit, who continually has 10 or more models in the top 100 models in the world, says: "Marcia's integrity earmarks this book. Simply stated facts about an often misunderstood business make it a must read for every aspiring model. She is concise in her explanations and gives reason to the seemingly unreasonable demands of our industry." Betty Sze of Models.com sums it up this way, "I LOVED the book. As an ex-agent, I found myself nodding 'yes' to myself while reading it over many excellent points that Marcia makes. She is very clear on the fact that to succeed in this industry you must not only LOOK like a model but you must have the drive and professionalism to make this a success. Aspiring models (and parents), picking up this book will not only answer most of your questions that you will have about the modeling industry, it will save you much time, energy and money in seeing if this is the right path for you."
From the Author
I speak in front of thousands of young hopefuls and parents throughout Canada and the USA. I do this because I love people and I want them to succeed. I wrote this book because there is no way any agent could ever sit down and give all this information to one person. It encapsulates everything it's going to take to get going in this very difficult to find entry industry. I wanted hopeful models to be able to have a truly useful tool to make their dreams come true.

Model Advice
Unlike other highly entertaining fictional reports of both the fashion and publishing industries, this book provides a realistic view into the fashion industry from the vantage point of the model, and focuses on the needs and expectations of aspiring models. As a fashion editor, fashion faculty member and author, as well as having known Mrs. Rothschild Moellers for nearly 10 years and seeing her work with "new faces," I highly recommend this book to all young hopefuls and their parents. "So, You Want to Be a Fashion Model" contains sage advice as well as a reality check of the business of fashion modeling. - Merri Grace McLeroy
