Beautiful Bible
I love this bible. The leather is buttery soft, small enough for my shirt pocket and it has a large concordance normally not found in bibles this size.

As far as the translation is concerned I have found that it is the best option for all purposes. It can be read casually or studied diligently with equal enjoyment and edification. I have tried all of the translations including NASB, NIV and the NKJV, and have found this bible to be the best balance of readability and formal equivalence. You can trust this translation because (in my experience) it is not unnecessarily interpretive yet extremely readable. You can also trust it because it remains true to the original text without being so literal that it renders the text unintelligible.

For all around use in personal devotions and serious study I would recommend the ESV, and especially this beautiful little gem of a bible wrapped in buttery leather.

Great "Small" Bible
If you're in the market for a small Bible, this may be just the one for you! I've been using it as a "carry" for several months now -- it's nice being able to go to a Bible study without having to haul around my whale-size NKJV.

Some other nice features: the cover and the ESV translation. The cover feels good and looks just right (I've actually gotten comments about how good it looks.) The ESV translation is awesome -- it takes a little getting used to if you're coming off the old school translations, but it flows nicely (it's pretty close to the version that the Episcopalian church uses in its worship services, I found), and it's spot on with the Greek (at least as far as I've been able to determine.)

This one probably won't replace your bedstand Bible (unless you have really good vision, as the print is so small), and it can be a bit hard to take notes in (since the margins are fairly narrow in places), but it fills its niche very nicely. It's more than worth the price you'll pay for it -- I'd have gladly paid several times more for a small Bible of this quality.

Beautiful-but not readable!
This Bible is absolutely beautiful!!

However, The print is extremely tiny and hardly readable. I looked up a few of my favorite scriptures the day I received it and I my eyes hurt from just skimming. I should add that I do not wear glasses and have great vision.

This Bible is great if you are looking for one that can fit in your diaper bag, purse or pocket and use only on Sunday. But for personal study I would recommend another ESV with larger print.
