Amazing Code Free DVD Player
My Sd4990 DVD Player Came today and Brand New! I am happy is is so thin to fit with my other stereo. Lots of connections for HD and very easy to connect to other TVs also!

Don't buy if you are looking for an all region player
I purchased the Toshiba DVD Video Player, SD-4990SU, to gain all region DVD playing. What was shipped is not what was advertised. I received a region 1 only player. I'm not satisfied with the advertising/marketing.

As a region 1 DVD player, it works how you would expect.

Broke after six months
Original review: It worked perfectly right out of the box and played both European and US DVDs with any problems whatsoever. I have had it for 3 months now and so far there are no complaints.
Now: after six months, it broke and it no longer works. That's what you get for being a chipped DVD player. I am trying Oppo now instead. (I am not able to change the number of stars I am giving this product unfortunately.)
