Reduce or even banish canker sores
This toothpaste was recommended by my dentist. If you suffer from chronic canker sores, this is one step to reducing them. There are many factors that can trigger canker sores, such as stress, eating acidic foods or having poor nutrition overall, menstrual periods, food allergies, or trauma (i.e., biting your cheek or lip).

The reason this toothpaste works is because it does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, an irritating agent in most toothpastes. SLS has a drying effect on the protective surface of oral tissues. Once this protective layer has been compromised, the tissue underneath is more vulnerable to irritants such as acidic foods.

Try using this toothpaste for about one month and you will see a difference. A few years ago I always had canker sores, usually at least 3 or 4 at a time. I still get them occasionally, but not more than once a month. I am so delighted by the toothpaste that it is all I'll use, and if I try going back to normal toothpaste for even a week, I start to get canker sores again. I highly recommend it. I really do.

I have been using Rembrandt's toothpaste for canker sore sufferers for 7 years now in combination with L-lysine. Prior to taking the L-lysine supplement and using Rembrandt I would have at least one canker sore at all times, and it was not uncommon to have 3 or 4 at once. Since using this toothpaste and taking L-lysine on a regular basis I rarely get canker sores anymore. I might get 6 in year now, which is signifcantly less than before. I would say that my canker sores have been reduced by at least 90%.

I will point out that I started taking the L-lysine and using Rembrandt at the same time. So, I honestly don't know if one or the other is truly doing the job. However, I did change toothpaste brands when I was unable to find the Rembrandt's cankor sore toothpaste locally and I immediately started getting cankor sores again. So, my opinion is that the toothpaste is the primary reliever of my canker sores.

For all the self-treaters out there...
Attention all you canker sore suffers out there!! I used to get a different canker sore every other week...that was before I started using this wonderful product. This toothpaste is one of those few products that actually WORKS! I tried every "home remedy" in the book. I learned to stop using those gooey, disgusting "apply directly on the sore" medications; they only mask the problem day after day. This toothpaste prevents canker sores before they happen. Even when I accidently bite the inside of my mouth while chewing, the sore vanishes in about one day. I buy this product in bulk. The only thing that may throw you off is that the toothpaste does not "suds" up like what you may be used to with your former toothpastes. Otherwise, WOW! Thanks Oral-B!
