What a piece of junk!
Remington should be ashamed of themselves for selling JUNK like this. It doesn't even cut, much less hack: It swishes the grass blades around in the hope that it'll break off on its own. The store won't take it back so I'm trashing it--not even worth giving it away. The only reason I bought this was my store doesn't carry Black and Decker anymore, which was a superior product compared to this junk. If I could I wouldn't give it even one star.
Marginal piece of equipment
Battery holds out well, I ran the unit for 45 min. after a standard charge, lots of power. The blade is constructed of a light metal and easily bends out of shape therefore loosing tension between blades which is what produces the cut; literally hacked the grass when trimming and edging. Hopefully I can find a replacement blade that might be constructed of a heavier metal; Amazon does not sell the replacement head. Even though the battery lasts, if you don't have a sharp solid/durable cutting head, you don't have a dependable tool!
Remington grass shear
I used it for trimming grass around baby grape vines. Plenty of battery life left, I used for about 20 min. I found the safety switch on top, is hard to use with the on trigger. Other than that, it's a good product.
