![]() | Analytical Greek New Testament (Including Greek Text Analysis) (Baker's Greek New Testament Library, 1) by Institute for New Testament Textual Research (U. S.)
Buy used from: $16.93 Great for studying the Greek New Testament. Based upon NA27, this book presents the Greek text and under each word it tells you whether the word is a noun, verb, adjective, preposition, etc. It also tells you the words gender, and, what I particularly appreciate, it shows you the mood, tense, voice, case of each verb! Excellent study help. Takes a lot of work out of in depth study.

![]() | Restoring the Biblical Christ: Is Jesus God? Volume One by Jason Kerrigan
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $17.52 This is actually a book that I wrote on the person of Christ. Is he God or not? Clear and definitive exegesis of key Biblical texts, pertaining to his preexistence, the Resurrection (did he raise himself from the dead?), the passages that speak of worshipping Christ, studies on John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8, etc.

![]() | Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece: Wide Margin (German Edition) by German Bible Society
Buy new: $43.76 / Used from: $39.73 I like the NA27 because of all of the textual variants that it lists at the bottom of each page. While other Greek New Testaments list variants as well, I find that the others are not as exhaustive. This book does not have an English translation.

![]() | Interlinear Greek-English New Testament : With Greek-English Lexicon and New Testament Synonyms (King James version) by George Ricker Berry
Buy new: $26.59 / Used from: $2.98 I like this Greek NT. I just find it convenient. It has the KJV text, the Greek text and a corresponding English translation in the subtext. I have also found the Greek dictionary in the back useful at times. Makes for a good Greek NT workhorse. You can usually find em' pretty cheap.

![]() | A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament
Buy new: $31.65 / Used from: $32.62 There are many passages in the Bible that contain readings that are disputed. Some Mss. say one thing and other Mss. say something entirely different. Here, you can look up a passage (listed in the order in which it appears in our NT), and read Bruce Metzger's explanations for preferring one reading over another.

![]() | The Septuagint with Apocrypha: Greek and English by L. C. L., Sir Brenton
Buy new: $29.67 / Used from: $25.66 I love the Septuagint. Reading an interesting passage from the OT? Look it up in the LXX as well. After all, when compared to the OT Hebrew Mss., the LXX better corresponds with the OT quotations found in the NT. Every Christian serious about Bible study should own one.

![]() | The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved - The Bible v. Tradition on the beloved disciple by J. Phillips
Buy new: $3.00 / Used from: $2.40 This book argues that the "disciple whom Jesus loved" could not have been John. And since "the Disciple whom Jesus loved" wrote the fourth gospel, this means that the author of "John" was not John at all. I did not read this book hoping to (or expecting to) be convinced that "the disciple whom Jesus loved" was not John, but the arguments (all from the Bible) were just too strong.
