The R*G*S Story--V.2--Telluride, Pandora and the Mines Above5
Volume II of THE RGS STORY graphically presents the history of the arrival of the Rio Grande Southern in Telluride during 1890. Detailed coverage in this volume tells the reader--including the model builder--what the district's railroad structures were used for.

The COLORFUL CHRONICLES of TELLURIDE This historical presentation of Telluride takes the reader through a superbly illustrated chapter, covering the downtown of the old mining community. Homes that could have been seen during the RGS days are also included in this walking tour of the town. The PANDORA SPUR of the RGS RGS trackage was laid eastward from Telluride to the little mining camp of Pandora, the site of several large processing mills. Boxcars were used to transport ore-concentrates from the mills to Telluride and to smelters east of the mountains. Concentrates were picked up by the RGS in Pandora.
