Great Find
I had the standard Toaster oven by GE finally went on me.
I asked my daughter to help me find one that was just simple, no flashy extras. Just a timer,heat setting and oven or toast selector can't get much simpliar than that. Very well designed, and has replaced my oven completely. Some people may not like the sound of the ticking of the timer, but personally it's a good reminder it's on. Also you can only set the timer up until an hour and to me that is a good function also cause I don't think you would or should use this to replace and oven for long time cooking.

Basic and flawed
We had one of these for a little over a year. The first flaw I noticed with it was the metal strip on the door, right behind the handle, which got burning hot and you invariably touched when you opened the door to remove your food. We learned not to touch that pretty fast and everything was OK for a couple of months but then one of the elements started to perform at a lower level than the others so we were having to move food around and turning it over in the oven to get it to cook, or even just toast, evenly. Then the timer went... You could turn the toaster on but it wouldn't count down and turn itself off, you had to do it yourself. Finally it burst into flames one day when I was making some toast. It had been running for a few minutes, from cold, and it just ignited inside. It was exciting and dramatic but not what I look for in a household appliance. I won't be replacing it with another B&D product. I've been burned too many times. Pun intended.

So far so good!!
I purchased this toaster oven over a month ago for my worksite. So far it's performed well. At first finding the write setting for toastin bread was a little tricky, but once found it worked great. Haven't done any cooking with it. But as far as warming up food, or frozen foods has performed well. Easy to clean. Big knobs are also a plus, have a rugged feel to them.
