I began reading this book expecting to find step-by-step procedures, but these didn't appear until the last two chapters. What I did find is a very helpful guide for Christian parents.

Since children learn best from what is told to and modeled before them, parents need to understand what prayer is, when and how to pray, and what to expect when they pray. Osborne gives help in each of these areas. Parents may be surprised to learn that they are still praying in an immature way.

Osborne helps parents assess the maturity of their prayers and gives suggestions for encouraging growth in their child's prayer and spiritual life. While the book is not what I anticipated it would be, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much more.
