Customer Reviews

excellent stand5
Yamaha did a fine job on this stand. It's a little bit different than the one pictured in that the upper part of the stand has little extensions to hold the keyboard in place.

This is a good quality stand. For me, it's much better than the one it replaces. I would recommend it.

I have reservations about the mental stability of the individual who left a one star review for this product.

Better than expected4
The stand is heavier and more solidly built than I had expected. It was easy to put together, although the instructions were slightly wrong. Specifically, the instructions said that the screws were already in the stand and would need to be unscrewed before putting the legs on, when in fact the screws were in the bag with the instructions.

The lowest hight setting is OK for sitting in my chair and playing, but not as low as I expected. I think this stand may have been designed for people who play standing.

The stand itself is fairly stable, but when I put my keyboard on it only three of the four corners touch the stand. I don't know if this is due to the stand not being flat or if the bottom of my keyboard isn't flat. In any case, this hasn't caused much problems playing.

My biggest complaint is that I've had the stand for about a month now, and it still smells a bit like oil.

An OK stand - fits its purpose4
This stand was delivered a few days ago and it fits my Yamaha 76-key DGX 230. It is still a little wobbly, especially when playing the keyboard expressively. Nevertheless, it is cheap at $20 and serves its purpose. I set it at the lowest height which goes perfectly well with the Yamaha PKBB1 adjustable bench (set at the middle height) that was delivered on the same day. I like that the top "support" bars have a little extension or "peg" (identical to the ones on the YKT7500 model on the Yamaha website) to prevent the keyboard from sliding forward, if at all. The stand was very easy to assemble with the easy-to-understand instructions. The X-bar has one bar in front of the other; obviously, the top support bars and bottom (feet) bars have holes for the screws that aren't equal in distance from its ends so that when assembled correctly, they are aligned. I would have liked to have purchased the Z-type or table-top stand but they were a little more expensive and I just needed something cheap to get the keyboard off my coffee table. My knees do not knock into the X-bar so I have no complaints about this stand other than it being wobbly when playing the keyboard.
