Product Description
Australian poet and Boer War correspondent A.B. "Banjo" Paterson was no ordinary man...and this is no ordinary hat. Felted of Akubra's highest grade of wild rabbit fur, the weatherproof and long-wearing qualities of this hat will make it a lifelong friend and valued heirloom. The hat's excellent finish is further enhanced by a beautiful band of the skin of the Barramundi, Australia's most prized gamefish. Unparalleled comfort is ensured by an extra wide roan sheepskin leather sweatband, which is breathable and non-sticky in hot weather. Akubra hats have been THE hard-wearing choice of cattlemen, ranchers, and soldiers for generations (the mil-issue "slouch" hat made famous by Aussie forces since WWI is made by Akubra) 2-3/4" raw-edge turndown brim (for an additional $5 we can cut the brim to 2 1/2"). Crown height: 4.25" front, 4" rear, 4.5" highest point on side. Satin lined. Colors: Fawn. Sizes: 54 (6 3/4) through 64 (8).
