Customer Reviews
I love it.
From All American Girl to the very end, this CD is the best. I love Disposable Boy (I'm just an old worn out toy) , Walking Alone and The Jones. Punkabilly at its (almost) finest. Too bad that there aren't any sound samples for you to hear Angry sing with Jim Joe in the background providing some great harmonies.
Definetly buy it. You won't be sorry.
This is a Tar Hut Records release, not Targa.
Angry Johnny & the Killbillies best effort and one of the hardest "alt-country" records ever recorded, with Eric "Roscoe" Ambel (Del Lords, Bottlerockets, Nils Lofgren, Backsliders, Martin's Folly, Joan Jett), Jim Armenti (Lonesome Brothers, Ray Mason Band) and others helping shape the sounds with Angry (his real name) and the best (and classic) lineup that Angry ever assembeled for his Killbillies.
I'll buy him a jack daniels any day...
I am a huge fan of Angry and the boys, and this CD is excellent. It's definitely more of a "studio sound" than Hankenstein. Beware, Angry is not a novelty act, he is the real deal. Talented lyrically and musically, Angry and the Killbillies are a worthwhile listen. For anyone that's looking for a different sounding album, pick this up!
