Disappointing, to say the least!
Rockport shoes used to be a good value: moderately priced, comfortable, reasonably stylish, durable. Not this pair! I bought this pair in black, with red decorative stitching, thinking the'd be foor for wearing with jeans and casual skirts. The shoes seemed true to size (10 medium), and weres comfortable right out of the box. But - and here's the disappointing part - the fabric on the vamp started to tear away from the stitching after TWO wearings! I'd give a negative rating if I could, but one star is as low as I can go. Buyer beware!

This is now my "Go To" shoe
I ordered the Rockport Women's Forla Skimmer in Black and by reading the other reviews I think this makes a HUGE difference in the overall quality. When I ordered them my only concern was the red stitching might be too much of a contrast with some of the clothing I might wear with them. (I've added a close up in the customer images) Luckily it doesn't seem to bother me.

The first time I wore them I thought I might never wear them again because they were rubbing me the wrong way, but I didn't give up and after the third full day they were comfy as can be! Now they are the first shoe I grab in a hurry, when I know I'll be doing a lot of walking or just because I like them.

As for the quality of the shoe. With the Black I have not had any issues of flaking or peeling. I believe that it may be limited to the Olive color according to the other reviewers. It is a VERY light weight shoe, which I love! I actually put it on my scale to see and it was exactly 6.5 ounces. I have flip flops heavier than this and they aren't nearly as comfortable. As for sizing because these are slip ons I went with the smaller of the two sizes I usually wear and was glad I did so now that I have worn them in.

Even better than expected
This shoe easily slips on without having to bend over, and yet stays on while walking. I had no break-in time whatsoever. The first day I wore this shoe I had gone to dinner with a friend. We went for in impromptu after-dinner dog walk and even after walking 2-3 miles I still found the shoe really comfortable. I've noticed that this has become a go to shoe because it matches many things, even if it isn't quite as cute as other shoes.
