Great Product
Love our Silhouette 10 Hardside Spinner 29". The perfect luggage for traveling both in state and international. Really sturdy, yet light. The upright rolling feature is genius allowing tricky and tight steering in crowded airports. Just the right size for international traveling because it just fits enough before it reaches maximum weight allowance. Plenty of space inside the luggage. And it's beautiful. Very easy to spot.
This is a LARGE suitcase
I have just returned from a fortnight in Europe and this case withstood handling from airlines and lots of travelling by car. The red color looks great and the handles are comfortable. It is also easy to spot on a luggage carousel.
This is a "hardside" case but it is not as rigid as my old Samsonite - though the thin walls keep the weight down. The four wheel rolling works well on flat surfaces such as airport lobbies, and two wheel mode works well on sidewalks and other slightly rough surfaces.
The TSA-approved lock means the case can be secured whilst remaining accessible for security inspection.
The only downside is the size - having lots of space is great, abut the case is very heavy when it is full and it is really rather bulky. You need to take care to keep within airline baggage weight limits or you will be liable for a large excess baggage fee. You also need to be quite strong to carry it upstairs. If I were purchasing agaain, I would go for the 26" size, or splash out and buy both 26" and 29".
best suitcase I ever bought
I just came back from vacation when I used 2 suitcases that I bought in May. I had Samsonite suitcase before, but it is too big for current standards. I love hardside suitcases - you do not have to worry about anything being broken - bottles, glasses and other fragile products. They have TSA lock, so finally I do not have to worry about anyone opening the suitcase during travel.
