When it comes to being a skinny, big-smiling teen-ager who can whip pop music fans into a frenzy with a mere toss of his excellent curls, let's face it: Corbin Bleu has competition. If Bleu is not the only TV-launched singer to revitalize both leave-in conditioner sales and puppy love in 2007, though, he is the only one with a shot at being taken seriously by critics. Another Side, his first album post-High School Musical and Jump In!, the Disney Channel movies that made a household name out of him (at least in households inhabited by 8- to 15-year-olds), is pretty much what you'd expect--a high-energy hybrid of pop, R&B, and hip-hop. Consider "Push It to the Limit," the song that propelled the Jump In! soundtrack and closes this disc, an on-ramp to the bubbly Bleu sound. Don't discount what separates him from the pack of post-Disney Channel singers wishing upon stars for pop-chart domination, though. His vocals, a pleasing mash of Michael Jackson and Jesse McCartney, make him a contender for a long-term career in music. --Tammy La Gorce

The kids love it
My son is a really big Corbin Bleu fan and refers to him as "the cool guy." This CD is the main one he likes to listen to while riding in the car.

Corbin Bleu is AWESOME!!!!
I am a 39 year-old husband and father of 4 and I love Corbin Bleu! He is a talent that should always have a job and be around for a long time. He does it all from acting to sports to singing. I absolutely love this album! Is he the best singer ever?? No, but he sure does rank up there with the best! I hope he continues to bring out music and movies--I will support him! My kids love him too! In today's world, hearing this fine album is so refreshing! If you don't have it, you should have it! I can't wait until his next one comes out!!

great for pre-teens
I am the mom of 2 sons, 10yrs & 12 yrs old who love the Disney Channel. We bought this album after seeing Corbin in Concert. The album is well produced, and well if your kids are a fan of Disney and High School Musical --this album is a plus to have. The songs carry "good" messages, you don't have to worry about the lyrics. Corbin Bleu is a 'clean cut' role model for my sons, and I patronize his products. And, I enjoy listening and dancing to the music too!!
