Buy new: $39.95 / Used from: $23.51 I've been doing more business development work lately and am interested in learning more about M&A as well. This was one of two books on Dave, my bd mentor's bookshelf. While the book is light on deep case studies and specific examples, it covers 35 success factors (things to think about) when doing acquisitions.

Buy used from: $2.52 I've been reading about the venture capital industry. This book is a fun collection of stories by one of the early V.C.'s in Silicon Valley, Tom Perkins of Kleiner Perkins.

 | The Innovator's Solution: Creating and Sustaining Successful Growth by Clayton M. Christensen
Buy new: $21.75 / Used from: $7.75 A colleague recommended this to me and said that it was the best of the Innovator's * books. It's an excellent analysis of the way innovation works or doesn't within large organizations. Great learnings in here about how/why/what potential innovations to fund and how to think about them wrt your existing businesses. One key takeaway, "Be patient for growth, but impatient for profit."
