Average customer review:Product Description
"Most administrative internships and educational leadership programs are thorough in providing theory and basic practice, but lack in preparing future administrators for the vast scope of responsibility in the principalship. Peter Hall wrote this book as a principal at the conclusion of his first year, thus the point of view comes straight from the trenches. This is a no-holds-barred, honest look at the pelting storm that awaits the rookie school administrator."

Customer Reviews
Outstanding help for new administrators
I cannot overestimate the effect this book will have on any new school administrator. As a school secretary, I concur with Mr. Hall's beliefs and approaches to the "job." I recommend this book heartily to any incoming or prospective principal.
no thank you
Having personally met and worked with Mr.Hall, I can confidentally say that we do not need any more "leaders" in our schools like him. He does not support teachers and he does not support what is best for kids, this book should not be hailed as a guidebook for others.
Look Elsewhere
This book evinces a very negative attitude towards teachers. Instead of preaching to other principals about how to do their jobs, perhaps the author should attempt to empathize with those he leads.
