Customer Reviews

One Nation is One Great Book!5
One Nation is a "follow-up" to A is For America by the same author as this book. The rhyming schemes flow easily for reading aloud to children and the pages are packed with US trivia tied to numbers(i.e. the number 4 is explored using Mount Rushmore's 4 presidents and the site's history). Also impressive with this book is the illustrations. Again, the same illustrator that did A is For America is at work here. While the illustrations for A/America are very nice, the illustrations here are excellent. The pictures of the Bill of Rights, Abe Lincoln and the 100 dollar bill make the book with getting. One Nation is a welcome addition to any book collection especially if you are a history buff or have been following along with the alphabet series for each state.

Good trivia4
Lots of American history trivia in a friendly easy to read format. As a teacher I also like the fact that for each entry there is an rhyming easy-to-read passage plus a more detailed one for the higher readers.

cleverly written4
This little book was for my four young grandchildren (ages 6 - 14). Since they will be visiting our nation's capital in a few days, it was especially meaningful for each of them.
We had fun reading all of it together!
