Todd Whitaker Fan
I am a real Todd Whitaker fan. Like his other books, this one offers common sense advice to help me do my job better. Reading the story about Bob the basketball player was itself worth the price of the book. Every teacher in America should read the chapter "Celebrating Yourself - You ARE a Professional". Great stuff.
Inspired Teacher
I picked up this book for a summer read looking for a little inspiration as I readied myself for the school year ahead. I was inspired indeed and I came away with more than a handful of good ideas and good reminders of what I should be doing to ensure the success of my students. This book has made me re-examine how I go about my entire day and I look forward to implementing much of what I read and revisiting the book throughout the year.
Give yourself a lift
This book is for teachers. When you're young, you plow ahead regardless of the obstacles. But I'm 58 now, and I'm getting tired (almost retired). This book gave me the inspiration needed to have fun, enjoy the kids, and keep teaching.
