fun, but not as fun as I thought it would be
I bought this for my almost 4 yr old and her 2 1/2 yr old sister. Both of them are able to play, though my 2 1/2 yr old has trouble understanding that you have to stay off the mat while playing. So far, the girls have enjoyed it, but they aren't as interested in it as I thought they would be. A downside or a need for improvement is that on some of the games, if they step on the correct animal, shape, etc., it does not reinforce it by verbally saying anything (such as "good job, you stepped on the monkey"). Despite this, I would buy it again.

Fun and Educational
I would recommend this product for preschool aged kids. There are several game modes which help encourage physical activity and educational learning (animal recognition, animal sounds, colors, shapes). This is a fun game to play alone or to play with a friend. Easy to store, seems pretty durable, and was an immediate hit with our 2 year old and 4 year old. A great gift idea.

TOO SLIPPERY
The mat is great to teach shapes and animal sounds. My daughter loves it except she is falling all the time. The mat is too slippery and my daughter jumps from animal to animal and 9 out of 10 times falls. She thinks it is funny but I am not happy about it. We do not wear shoes in our house but I have her wear sneakers when doing this mat, which is inconvient.
