Pleased but informed
I am very please with this toy. I would say however, had I not read the reviews prior to purchase I might have been a little annoyed with the mechanical noise but because I was aware of the complaints by other customers I knew what I was getting into. This is a toy my 3 year old requested and LOVES. He got it for Christmas and carries her around by the neck, talks to her, and loves her. He can turn her on and off by himself so he turns her off when he is sleeping and when he is having some quiet time watching the TV. When the toy is on and he is watching TV it is a little loud and I find it a little annoying but she is just as cute when she is off as when she is awake so it is fine. This was a hit with all the kids and the adults Christmas night because she is so cute. My nephew even got one after Christmas and he takes her everywhere as well. So far neither of them have had any mechanical problems. If we did, for my child, it would be worth it to exchange it in for another one.

wowwee what a bargain
My granddaughter absolutely loves her polar bear! It makes sounds like a
real polar bear cub. Its fur is so soft and the battery compartment is
well padded so it's soft to hold too. I played with it before I gave it to
her to see if it worked. Everything worked just right, it waked up and went to sleep just like the instructions said. I am pleased with Amazon.com in the way my order was handled. I will definitely shop with
Amazon.com again.

I was not pleased with the Polar Bear. It will not sit up, it falls over when the child sits it down. I purchased the Lion Cub and was well pleased. My grandchild loves it. The Polar Bear my other grandchild does not want to play with it and I understand why.
