A very popular domino game

Mexican Train is a very popular domino variation using a set of double 12 dominos. This is the licensed version. Play begins at the "train station", a plastic starter piece. Each player builds his own train. You can interrupt by playing a double domino, forcing players to build on it before adding to their own trains. Round ends when one player "goes out" Pips on dominoes still in your hand count against you.

This Mexican Train set includes color dot double 12 dominoes, centerpiece and rules, and comes packaged in a faux ostrich snap case. This is the authorized version with game rules copyrighted by Roy & Katie Parsons.

91 dominos are "tournament sized" at 1-3/32 x 2-3/16 x 1/2 inches thick. Set weighs over six pounds ! Eight little plastic engines are also enclosed. Includes rules for Straight Dominoes, Solitaire, 42, 84, Moon, Chickenfoot, and superdominoes as well as Mexican Train. Domino starter, a plastic centerpiece is also enclosed.

Great, but...
This is a very nice product. My seven year old really enjoys it, too. Each game is different - some are shorter and some can be very long. It involves some strategy, but not in such a way that a kid couldn't figure it out. The quality of the game is good.

The only downside to this product by "America's Domino Maker since 1954" is that it's made in China. :(

Definitely would have been five stars if it was Made in the USA.

Double 12 Domino Set
This dominoes set is an excellent weight. The dominoes are big and beefy and professional sized so they stand up in your "hand" better. The colors are a little bright, but we got used to that. The "hub" is very simple and this set makes a good partner with the Mexican Train Hub. Comes with 6 plastic train markers. A very good buy.
