Really something5
I bought the DVD and book for my wife. She has been a life-long fan. She is unbelievably happy about Runnin' Down a Dream. I, however, have respected Tom Petty but never considered myself a fan. Until now. Bogdanovich allowed the most engaging down-to-earth interview to just run it's course and you can't stop watching. Tom Petty is one of the coolest guys in Rock. Very well done.

Tom Petty Runnin Down A Dream Book Review5
I had the Runnin' Down A Dream DVD so when I purchased the book I was concerned that they would both have the same information. The book has different information and is not the same as the DVD at all. For all of you Tom Petty fans out there this is a must buy!

TP!5
I've been a Tom Petty fan since the first gig I saw at the Meadowlands arena in New Jersey. When I left that show I decided I would buy everything he had out. Things haven't change much since then. I feel he is one of those rare artist that seems to get better with time. As far as the DVD, I thought it was insightful and very entertaining. Especially the early stuff when they were just getting started in Gainsville. Their rise to success has been steady and like most monsters they grew and grew. I would recommend this or anything from the Heartbreakers to anyone even remotely interested in checking them out. They are probably the best band in America today. Tom's writing has been inspiring and his music still makes my hair stand up. Easily one of my top 3 favorite artists. Enjoy this thing. I sure did!
