Editorial Reviews

Album Description
Japanese pressing includes a bonus track, 'De Ja Vu' and possibly an additional bonus track or enhanced video (TBC). Show Your Bones is what happens when you put your finger in a light socket. Maybe there is some of that electric current flowing through the tracks of our album illuminating us from the inside out for you to laugh at and cry to or fry to. Polydor. 2006.

With Show Your Bones, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs follow up to the heralded Fever to Tell Karen O economizes on the screaming that so marked the trio’s debut EP. And oh how she exceeds her oft-noted influences (PJ Harvey and Chrissie Hynde, for two): Whether she’s hanging back with a staggered beat on "Phenomena," or riding on the kick-drum-pounded opening to "Honeybear," she’s always ready to disappear in a burst of Nick Zinner’s guitars and Brian Chase’s drums. The YYYs thrill precisely because of their keen mix, Karen O spiking the upper ranges (dig the caterwaul in "Mysteries") with a sharply cut vocal line or a simple, full-bodied singsong delivery while the guitars spin thick storms of sound before retreating to atmospherics (try the transition from the quick throttle of "Cheated Hearts" into the Cure-ish "Dudley," for one example). And marvel at how well radio would be served by blasting the acoustic, pleading vibe of "Warrior." Fabulous. --Andrew Bartlett

YYY's Calmed Down A Lil Bit..........4
Great album, they really sound like they went in a different direction with this one but stuck to thier roots. With more powerful songs like, Warrior (a personal favorite of mine because it sounds like my life) "Cheated Hearts" but they still kept it fun with songs like "Way Out" my other favorite, "Honeybear", "Phenomena". I think they could've left out "Fancy" Though it was the most boring song on the album, since there is so much intensity coming from the them to slow down like that kinda threw me off. Buy this and support a seriously great up and coming band, they deserve it.

Oh Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!5
This is my first YYY album and I love it!!!! Kinda indie rock meets old garage punk and even some 70's glam. The girl who sings sounds so cool that she could ice the sidewalk with her breath. Great rock n' roll!!!

This is the Best Yeah Yeah Yeah album!5
I own all of the Yeah Yeah Yeah albums and this one is by far the best! Each song has it's own feel and melody. They are original, rockin', fun to listen to, and I would suggest this album to anyone.
