After 28 million records sold worldwide, 5 Grammy nominations, and more #1 hits and weeks at #1 than any other artist in history at Adult Top 40 and Modern AC, Melisma/Atlantic recording group matchbox twenty is overdue for a Greatest Hits package. In order to create something truly special for their fans, the band returned to the studio to record their first new material in five years. Grammy-winning producer Steve Lillywhite oversaw the sessions in L.A., marking the band s first work with the renowned producer - whose credits include the likes of U2, The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, and many others. Out of the session came six brand-new songs, turning the package into a new EP with a bonus of 11 matchbox twenty hits. The new tracks also mark their first recordings as a foursome.

EXCELLENT
Just a typical Matchbox 20 cd which means it is VERY VERY Good...Just wish it contained more new music...A must have for folks who enjoy good quality todays sounds...
I'm waiting for the next CD
I've been an avid fan of Matchbox Twenty since I recieved Yourself or Someone Like You in elementary school. That Long.
That said, while Exile on Mainstream has some excelent singles on it, it is entirely too short. 6 new songs and almost twice as many rereleases, while tiding me over, makes me want to know when their next CD - hopefully a decent 12 songs or more - will be released. Hopefully soon.
Matchbox Twenty is Sublime
This is an awesome two CD set. I absolutely listen to it everyday in my car on my MP3 and at home. I especially love "I'll Believe You When," but it is not in anyone's rotation in my market. I assure you it is going to stay in my rotation for a long time. I love Rob Thomas and I like him even more when he teams with Matchbox Twenty.
