A Must Purchase
Carlton's third album, Heroes & Thieves, blew me away from the first single. Far less mainstream than Harmonium, Heroes & Thieves returns to the heartbreaking modesty of Be Not Nobody. Single-worthy songs appear at every turn, every one of which is a beautiful combination of lyricism and instrumentals. A wonder to listen to again and again.
Songs get better towards the end
A great enchanting album. Starts off slow and normal but as i got closer to the end of the CD, i began to enjoy it even more....only for the CD to end...wish there were more songs in the album but none the less, definitely worth the investment for a great album to enjoy
*~Virtually Flawless~*
To start this off, I'm a HUGE Vanessa Carlton fan! Thousand Miles was great, I still love Ordinary day, and every so once in awhile I revisit Pretty Baby. This is what could have been called the "golden age". Next came Harmonium, mehhhhhh. White houses is amazing, and yeah that's it. The other songs were depressing, and little "re listen" value. Heroes & Thieves is a revelation of all things Vanessa. Every one of these songs has great re listen value. I still addicted to this album since I bought it on release day. My only gripe is that it's 11 tracks long =D.
Songs from best, to still great, but not quite best ;-)
Hands on Me ( ya... I know the music video reeks)
Nolita Fairytale (ya.....this music video rocks =D)
Heroes and Thieves/ Come Undone ( Both Magical and fun)
The One ( I love this song, and Stevie helps ;-)
Fools Like Me ( I almost feel guilty putting it this low, but it rocks)
Spring Street ( I hated this song at first, now I like it 0:-)
Home ( This has best piano solo ever!)
This Time (This song was brilliant, until it was recorded, still good, but was better)
More than This ( Good but a tad corny for my taste)
My Best ( song I listen to the least, good for an occasional listen)
There you have it, Buy NOW! =D
