NOT a typical Leviathan record...
For Leviathan fans and black metal fans all around, READ THIS before buying this album! This is an all-instrumental, atmospheric recording that, in my opinion, is one of the best of its kind (and I listen to a lot of soundtrack and ambient music). I knew nothing about this release before buying it. My desire to purchase it was based purely on my appreciation for Wrest's unique brand of black metal alone. Needless to say, I was shocked when I heard no blast beat or piercing guitars. However, the harmonic composition and the eerie atmosphere he created in this recording kept me listening. This is a phenomenal piece of ambient avant-garde music that will bring the gloom and misanthropy to any bright and shiny room! Be ye warned though, this is NOT a traditional, or untraditional (for that matter) metal album!
If Lurker of Chalice tips your scales . . .
Nadir of crippling melancholia. Fans pain in waves. Unerring. Shorn. One Death of hopes lie.
Hey, listening to this album made me write this crap. If you like Lurker of Chalice, you'll probably like this. May necessitate an upping of selective-serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
