1986: It sounds pretty naive and reminds me the beginning of Vince Clarke's career on DM and Yazoo. It's a good one, since some great songs by Erasure are present here. It owns actually 'only' 7 songs that I really love: Who Needs Love Like That, Oh L'Amour, Push Me Shove Me, Senseless, Cry So Easy, March On Down The Line and Say What.

1987: Some fans tend to prefer this "other Circus" to the original album. Well, I'm definitely not one of those fans, but I admit the remixes to Hideaway & Leave Me To Bleed are really brilliant. Regarding the 3 re-recorded tracks, My Heart...So Blue was better than its original version while If I Could kept weak. In addition, the 'Live Circus' is great, specially Oh L'Amour & Gimme!Gimme!Gimme!.

1989: Wild! is just what its title suggests: a more powerful work in terms of sound&lyrics. Its 4 single tracks are excellent, but Piano Song & Brother And Sister are in the same level. Crown Of Thorns is a underrated&brilliant ballad while How Many Times? is a overrated&good one. La Gloria is a song that many fans hate, but I like it anyway and I consider 2,000 Miles is more than OK.

1992: Almost all songs present in this absolutely essential compilation are between great and great, except for the annoying Heavenly Action and the last track, which is just a so-so remix to a classic. This is simply a spectacular chance for hearing stunning classics like Oh L'Amour, Sometimes, A Little Respect, Stop!, Blue Savannah & Chorus on the same place!

1995: How can I define the self-titled? Well, let me see... SUPERB! Even though it's their slowest work. I would point out 4 songs: the incredibly good Rescue Me (one of their most original ones), the superinfectious Fingers & Thumbs, the tragic Grace and the sweet & sad Stay With Me. Sono Luminus & A Long Goodbye are divine ballads while Angel is its most erasurish moment.

2000: For me it's just another underrated work from them. Ok, it isn't a masterpiece and it really sounds weird, but I believe it was intentionally recorded at this way. Anyhow it's a well-done synthpop one and it owns 3 of the most amazing songs ever made by V&A: Alien, Perchance To Dream & Catch 22. The other ones are between good and great, except for Mad As We Are & Here In My Heart(yawn!).

2005: I must confess I had difficulties for enjoying properly this work, mainly because of its few creative lyrics in a general way, I mean Andy abused the use of cliches. But now I can recognize it owns several pleasing moments, such as Breathe, DSYLM (sensational lyrics), Sweet Surrender (brilliant lyrics), I Bet You're Mad At Me & ATTSFOOL.

2007: Just try to imagine 10 perfect pop songs reunited in one only album, something you probably haven't heard in a long time, I guess. Sunday Girl & Darlene are instantaneous classics while Storm In A Teacup & When A Lover Leaves You are breathtaking ballads. And prepair your body to the festive Sucker For Love and your spirit to the impressive Glass Angel.

1988: Chains Of Love is a terrific dancing pop song and it certainly deserved to be a big hit. Besides its single brings one of their best b-sides, Don't Suppose, and a great cover to the instrumental The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

1992: V&A received many negative critics for paying homage to ABBA on this EP, since they have always been taken as a dispensable disco-pop quartet by many people... Anyway I think Erasure redeemed them here. More than this: I dare to say they improved these 4 terrific pop songs by ABBA, mainly TACOM & SOS!

1997: This maxi-single is amazing since it brings the sensational "Al Stone Mix" to Rain, great live performances, some good remixes and the absolutely superb b-side called First Contact!

2001: Their 3rd box set is the best one to me since it brings 4 fantastic b-sides (Paradise, Runaround On The Underground, Dreamlike State & Supernature) + many great remixes + the whole version of Crackers International EP, which was originally released on Xmas time and it certainly would be a great gift 'cos it owns 2 perfect dancing songs + 2 perfect ballads! INDISPENSABLE!

2009: Some of the best remixes of their songs can be found here! I'd point out "Freedom" by Mark Pichiotti, "Fingers & Thumbs" by SoundFactory and "Chorus" by Electronic Periodic.

2004: This show was originally recorded in 1992 as VHS format and now Mute finally released it on DVD for joy of the fans, since this is simply one of the best pop performances ever recorded! Even Vince Clarke lost his serious pose here on dressing himself as a 'country&western' pinky lady while Andy Bell played a 'brave' cowboy dressed in a shining&blue&tight&micro costume (yeeha!).

2006: If many folks were gladly surprised with their acoustic album, what to say about the tour to promote this one? This concert is stunning! You'll see that they found some fine solutions to perform some of their biggest hits in the acoustic format here, such as Blue Savannah, Victim Of Love and Love To Hate You.
