![]() | Cassadaga by Bright Eyes
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $4.89 Another great effort from this band. Four Winds should have been a major hit.
![]() | Wincing the Night Away by The Shins
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $6.27 If Spoon and Radiohead weren't around, The Shins would be the best band in the world right now.
![]() | Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga by Spoon
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $8.48 Spoon might be the premier band recording today. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is not their best effort, but it's still head and shoulders above nearly everything else out there.
![]() | Boxer by The National
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $6.45 Somewhat reminiscent of Morphine and American Music Club at their best. This record gets better with every listening.
![]() | In Rainbows by Radiohead
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $7.85 Radiohead is at it again. Year after year they seem to come out with an album that winds up on nearly every critics best of list. This is no exception. Like any Radiohead release it takes multiple listenings to really appreciate it's greatness

![]() | Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $4.00 Some very smart, catchy songs on this critically acclaimed release.
![]() | Back to Black by Amy Winehouse
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $6.24 This lady can sing. If she she survives her drug and alcohol abuse and stays with us for a few more years, she may be considered among the all time greats.
![]() | Let's Stay Friends by Les Savy Fav
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $5.80 Old fashioned kick butt rock.
![]() | Raising Sand
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $8.23 I'm not a fan of Plant and Krauss's music usually isn't my cup of beer, but this record works. An unusually subdued Plant works magic together with the sweet voiced Krauss. A beautiful record.
![]() | Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $8.90 While not nearly as good as "Funeral", "Neon Bible" proves that "Funeral" was no fluke. We'll be hearing a lot from this band over the years if they stay together.
![]() | All Hour Cymbals by Yeasayer
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $24.71 This proves Radiohead isn't alone with their smart, intricate rock.
![]() | The Throne of the Third Heaven of the N by Le Loup
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $16.11 Banjos, synths, reverb. Sounds like a strange mix, but it really works. "Outside of This Car, the End of the World" is the best song I've heard in a long time.
This is one mesmerizing album.
![]() | We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank by Modest Mouse
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $3.96 Modest Mouse just puts out one solid album after another.
![]() | Soft Machine by Teddybears
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $0.90 The kind of record that will get your foot tapping and make you want to get up and dance. A little bit of reggae, a little bit of techno, a little bit of punk and a whole lot of fun.
![]() | The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter by Josh Ritter
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $3.65 You cant deny that this man has talent. Solid song writing, catchy tunes.
![]() | Under the Blacklight by Rilo Kiley
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $6.94 Uneven record, but when it's good it's great. The title track, Breakin Up, Dejalo and Silver Lining are outstanding songs.
![]() | Our Love to Admire by Interpol
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.97 I wasn't smitten with this on the first few listenings. But it really grew on me. It's no "Turn on the Bright Lights". They are no longer just a Joy Division tribute band and are forging their own path.
![]() | Mantaray by Siouxsie
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $2.93 Siouxsie is back and still making great music. This release was criminally overlooked by the rock media and record buying public.
![]() | Favourite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $7.93 Solid follow-up to their outstanding first release.
![]() | Drastic Fantastic by KT Tunstall
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $2.92 Solid sophomore effort proves she's for real.
![]() | Costello Music by The Fratellis
Buy used from: $39.99 Like many I was introduced to this band through the iPod commercial. Just had to have it after hearing "Flathead". The rest of the songs are just as good.
![]() | Icky Thump by The White Stripes
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $5.69 A record that will appeal equally to the kids and middle age Led Zep fans. Doesn't reach the level of Elephant or White Blood Cells, but it's still a good record.
![]() | Writer's Block by Peter Bjorn and John
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $3.67 "Young Folks" alone makes this a must.
![]() | West by Lucinda Williams
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $4.50 Kind of a disappointment, but that's only because she has set the bar so high. She might be the best female songwriter in America. Her darkest record.
![]() | It's a Bit Complicated by Art Brut
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $2.55 Quirky and energetic. The singer talks over the music, rather than than sings. Catchy and fun, but they seem to be a one trick pony and will probably amount to no more than a novelty act. Still, "Direct Hit" is an awesome song.
