Mindless entertainment. I liked "Sin City", and "300" is not as good, but the visuals and art direction are excellent. "Spartans! Prepare for glory!"

No, I didn't add this just because I like Rodriguez and Tarantino. Both films are great entertainment and homages to the b-movies of the 70's. I prefer "Death Proof" over "Planet Terror". You can't beat Kurt Russell!

I don't care what anyone says, "Spider Man 3" is easily the best of the three. Sandman, Venom and the black suit, what else could you ask for? The dark side of Spiderman is good. I collected the Amazing Spider Man comic book, and this film was good.

Bash Michael Moore as a sensationalist if you must, but he perfectly captured all that's wrong with America's health care system. Now if he would just cover the pathetic mental health care system. Do Americans even care?

What? You think I'd overlook this mindless entertainment? It's better than 2 or Vengeance. In fact, despite being over the top, it was like visiting an old friend. May we have another Bruce?

I hated the cartoon as a kid. I liked the movie. Not great, but definitely entertaining with great special effects from the king of mindless action/great special effects, Michael Bay.

A surprisingly good fantasy/comedy with exceptionally funny performances from De Niro and Pfieffer, plus the perfectly cast Claire Danes. A fun, entertaining time.

A complex, thoughtful and metaphorical story about a father trying to solve the mystery of his military son's disappearance. Jones, Sarandon, Theron and Brolin are excellent. Another story with something to think about afterwards.

Penn did a great job with this story. Hirsch is one to watch--definitely on the rise. It's Holbrook, though, that's most moving. Who hasn't wanted to drop out of life, this rat-race?

Anderson is god. I like the way he spins psychological tales of family dysfunction. Perfectly cast Wilson, Brody, Schwartzman and Huston. Funny, touching, satisfying.

Ryan Gosling turns in a winning performance here as an emotionally damaged man who seeks companionship in an usual way. The supporting cast is great, and the story is eccentrically endearing.

Coen brothers are gods. Long time fan. Bardem is up there with Hopkins for best killer. Brolin and Jones are great. The story is gritty, violent. One of the finest from the Coen brothers. Call it, friendo.

Firing on all cylinders this is a thought provoking look at our society, war and government. Cruise, Streep and Redford are excellent. The film is good, and be prepared to think and listen (what? listen?)

Baumbach is challenging and a budding director. He knows how to write family dysfunction. Black, Leigh and most importanly, Kidman, turn in fine performances in this unhappy, thoughtful, unyielding film.

Another dysfunctional family picture. This is equally as depressing, but more cold. Detached. Distant. Captures the disengaged family perfectly. Hoffman should have been nominated. Linney is excellent as always.

I didn't like Juno as much as everyone else. Ellen Page gives a one note performance. It's Garner and Bateman who shine. I didn't like the teen pregnancy theme. It's not funny. I think teens who get pregnant are dumb.

Surprisingly good. Didn't read the book, but I enjoyed the film. Great performances by a mostly unknown cast (to me). True story, and a moving one at that.

Never saw the Broadway play, but I liked the movie. Burton fan, and he did a great job. Depp fan, and he is surprisingly good. Dark, twisted and morbid. Delicious!

A moving animated biography. The animation is excellent, and it's actually nice to see another type of animation other than digital images. The story is engrossing and thoughtful as well.
