Rabbit Don't Come EasyRabbit Don't Come Easy by Helloween
Buy new: $16.98 / Used from: $7.78
Rabbit Don't Come Easy adds the comical lyrics that are synomonous with Helloween and thundering playing by the band members. Andi Deris delivers a powerful vocal experience.
Brave New WorldBrave New World by Iron Maiden
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $5.00
This album is where I feel that Iron Maiden broke away from the familiar recipe that they used on all previous albums. They ventured out musically and it's a masterpiece.
Dance of DeathDance of Death by Iron Maiden
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.97
Dance Of Death follows Brave New World's musical expansion, and in my opinion is Iron Maiden's best work. Bruce Dickinson's outstanding vocals, along with the technical sounds created by Maiden-mastermind Steve Harris, makes for an amazing musical experience.
Beautiful CreaturesBeautiful Creatures by Beautiful Creatures
Buy new: $30.98 / Used from: $5.84
This is what I call post-Hair Metal. It would fit in with anyone's Britny Fox, Ratt, or Cinderella collection. The reason for that is the band is made up of members of such bands, the singer's from Bang Tango. Wonderful ballads (let's face it, all Metalheads have a soft side), and fist pumping anthems make this an excellent CD for the car.
Here Come the BridesHere Come the Brides by Brides of Destruction
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $2.00
More post-Hair Metal!!! This brings some Metal greats together, Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Sixx: AM) and Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns) make a perfect match on this album.
Hell to PayHell to Pay by Dokken
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.99
Dokken move away from the hair and the spandex to make this heavy, yet delicate masterpiece.
Secret SocietySecret Society by Europe
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $8.49
That's right, those "Final Countdown" guys! Toning down the keyboards and pumping up the amps, Europe comes back swinging after a period out of the public eye.
Start From the DarkStart From the Dark by Europe
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $5.95
Another great installment from the Swedish Hair Metal gods.
The Neon God: Part 1 - The RiseThe Neon God: Part 1 - The Rise by W.A.S.P.
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.49
The Neon God, Pt. 2: The DemiseThe Neon God, Pt. 2: The Demise by W.A.S.P.
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $5.99
The Neon God, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 tell an amazing story cooked up by singer Blackie Lawless. W.A.S.P. move away from their Shock Rock past and take their time in delivering an awesome pair of albums.
Into the NowInto the Now by Tesla
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $3.14
The best album Tesla has ever done, hands down. Incredible vocals and guitar work make this a must have!!!
The LizardThe Lizard by Saigon Kick
Buy used from: $0.87
The first Metal album in my life, my dad's played since I was a kid so it's always had a place in my heart and in my iPod.
Blood and BeliefBlood and Belief by Blaze
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $7.49
Blaze Bayley, the singer who had to replace Bruce Dickinson in Iron Maiden. But fans didn't take to his style of singing. On this solo album his vocals are outrageously amazing, if he sang like this while in Maiden I think he'd still be in the band.
The Chemical WeddingThe Chemical Wedding by Bruce Dickinson
Buy new: $9.89 / Used from: $6.94
Accident of BirthAccident of Birth by Bruce Dickinson
Buy used from: $4.23
Tyranny of SoulsTyranny of Souls by Bruce Dickinson
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.79
Bruce Dickinson, THE voice of Metal, delivers amazing performances on Accident Of Birth, The Chemical Wedding, and Tyranny Of Souls. Must haves for any Metal fan.
New Found PowerNew Found Power by Damageplan
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.81
The last album Dimebag Darrel played on. I enjoy it much more than any Pantera album.
Imaginations from the Other SideImaginations from the Other Side by Blind Guardian
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $8.78
Power Metal at it's finest! Hansi Kursch does amazing vocal work on this album, his range is out of this world (just try and sing along).
Something Wicked This Way ComesSomething Wicked This Way Comes by Iced Earth
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $8.47
Jon Schaffer does wonders with his guitar on this Power Metal mile marker.
Touched by the Crimson KingTouched by the Crimson King by Demons & Wizards
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $9.99
Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian) and Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth) team up on this project...need I say more.
Train of ThoughtTrain of Thought by Dream Theater
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.50
Progressive Metal at it's finest. If you've never listened to Dream Theater then you have never really listened to music.
XX by Def Leppard
Buy new: $9.97 / Used from: $3.92
Much more poppie than their 80's work, X is just a fun album to listen to.
The System Has FailedThe System Has Failed by Megadeth
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $4.33
More oriented towards the musical aspect and not so much on angry lyrics. Best Megadeth album yet.
ImmortalisImmortalis by Overkill
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $7.00
Angry, loud, and a must have! The song "Skull And Bones" has Lamb Of God's singer as a guest vocalist, I really dislike Lamb Of God but he sounds awesome doing this duet with Bobby Blitz. Also look into Overkill's Killbox 13, I couldn't find it on Amazon when I made this list.
Bloody KissesBloody Kisses by Type O Negative
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.49
Dark, horrific, Halloween in music form. Type O Negative are the greatest representation of Gothic Metal.
Humanity Hour 1Humanity Hour 1 by Scorpions
Buy new: $9.97 / Used from: $8.49
Scorpions... That's all there is to say.
Volume 8: The Threat Is RealVolume 8: The Threat Is Real by Anthrax
Buy used from: $1.89
Anthrax have always been pioneers in Metal, they were one of the first to embrace Rap-Metal when they teamed up with Public Enemy. They are not afraid to try out new things. This is the best album I've heard from Anthrax.
Waking the DeadWaking the Dead by L.A. Guns
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $5.78
Another 80's Hair Metal band who have really stepped up in talent. Tracii Guns' playing on this album is terrific to say the least and Phil Lewis still sounds great. Treading new water with this album they test their hand at a political song with "O.K. Lets Roll" which is about 9/11, and concentrating more on the musical aspect.
