On her third album Jones repeats the same formula that made her first album so popular--quiet, intimate jazzy numbers. The formula wears thin here and you long for her to stretch her creativity. Average.

For me, Mika's "Life In Cartoon Motion" was one of the best in 2007. He was creative, fun, thoughtful, witty and talented. Some of my favorites were "Grace Kelly", "Lollipop", "Any Other World", "Billy Brown" and "Happy Ending".

Modest Mouse's third major label album was entertaining--and even better than their previous. Has "Dashboard", "Fire It Up", "Florida" and "Parting Of The Sensory".

Reznor returned with a mixed album that didn't quite equal 2005's "With Teeth". However, it did have some noteworthy songs such as "Survivalism", "The Good Soldier", "Capital G", "The Warning" and "The Great Destroyer".

Rush returned with an average album. I don't think they've made a good one since 1993's "Counterparts". "Snakes & Arrows" is quite the mixed album of goods. Has "Far Cry", "The Main Monkey Business" and "We Hold On".

Continuing their formula from 1999's "The Man Who" the band made a reasonably good album that went virtually unnoticed in 2007. Has "Selfish Jean", "Battleships" and "My Eyes".

The Bravery returned with their second album, but this time it seemed no one was listening. I think it was equally as good as their debut with "Believe", "Time Won't Let Me Go" and "Tragedy Bound".

Back with her second album in 9 months, Osborne continued to prove that she's a great vocalist in need of some great original material. Here, for the third album in a row, she digs through other people's classics and produces some of her own originals. Has "I've Got To Use My Imagination", "Cream Dream" and "Break Up To Make Up".

One of McCartney's better efforts in quite some time. Has "Dance Tonight", "Ever Present Past", "Mr. Bellamy", "Vintage Clothes", "That Was Me", "House Of Wax" and "The End Of The End".

O'Connor continued to avoid pop music and the mainstream with yet another album of odds and sods. Two discs of the same material recorded in slightly different ways. Overlong. Has a moving version of "I Don't Know How To Love Him".

I didn't enjoy this as much as the band's first two albums. Has "The Heinrich Maneuver", "No I In Threesome" and "Who Do You Think?"

Crowded House returned after 14 years with a new album virtually no one noticed. Not my favorite, in fact my least favorite from the band. Has "Don't Stop Now" and "Transit Lounge".

An average Vega album, certainly no "99.9F" or "Nine Objects Of Desire". Has "The Zephyr & I", "New York Is A Woman" and "Edith Wharton's Figurine".

Collective Soul turned in an above average album released only through Target stores. Bad idea as no one noticed. Has "New Vibration", "What I Can Give You", "All That I Know", "Hollywood" and "Adored".

Foo Fighters made an average album with songs like "The Pretender", "Erase Replace" and "Long Road To Ruin".

Springsteen and company try to re-ignite that "Born To Run"/"Born In The USA" fire, but just ended up missing the mark. Has "Radio Nowhere", "You'll Be Comin' Down" and "Magic".

Fogerty returned to Fantasy records, but the album isn't quite the revival expected. Has several good songs, but doesn't quite hold up as a whole. Has "Don't You Wish It Was True", "River Is Waiting" and "I Can't Take It No More".

Average second album from Depeche Mode front man Dave Gahan. Has "Kingdom".

Alicia Keys made a decent album with songs like "No One", "Superwoman" and "Sure Looks Good To Me".

Seal returns to form with a more upbeat album in the vein of his debut. Has "Amazing", "Just Like Before", "System", "Dumb", "The Right Life" and "Rolling".
