A Road to Ween - The First Four Albums to Hook a New Person on Ween

Chocolate and CheeseChocolate and Cheese by Ween

This is the first album most should begin with. While some fans may argue it's best to start out a little earlier (or later), I chose "Chocolate and Cheese" because it was the beginning of Ween as we know them today. "Chocolate and Cheese" has EVERYTHING in it and it lays out a road map for everything to come.
The MolluskThe Mollusk by Ween

Ween's epic OCEAN album. Listening to this album puts you seaside, next to filthy sailors with wet beards, squeeze boxes, and dirty whores. I placed this album here because I think it's Ween's tightest album THEMATICALLY and frankly, just a lot of fun to listen to. "The Mollusk" paints an awesome visual image. You'll smell saltwater.

Just when your friends think they have 'em pegged, toss 'em THIS. Ween had Nashville musicians play on every track, including The Jordanaires, a group that's played for J Cash, Elvis, W. Nelson, M Haggard, etc. This album is GENUINE. Because of it's originality, this album is in my top 10 as one of the best country albums ever made. There has NEVER been a country album like it. EVER.
White PepperWhite Pepper by Ween

Ween gets SERIOUS. "She's my Baby" is one of the prettiest songs in their catalog and "White Pepper" marks yet another departure for the band, this time EMOTIONALLY. While still remaining playful the band begins to drop hints of real sadness every now and then. The opening track foreshadows this during the first two minutes when it literally breaks out of its shell sonically.
