The first and best Bond film I've ever seen - at the maybe not so coincidental age of 007. A landmark film that set many new precedents. A sensation in its day, it still holds up extremely well.

The one that started it all. Has some old-fashioned classic qualities as well as a ground-breaking approach. Great introduction to the character by Connery.

Released during the height of Bondmania. Suffers somewhat from slower pacing - it's too long. With the extra production money available crisper editing went out the window. Connery's performance hits a new level of confidence that helps the film immensely.

A refreshing return to pre-gadget 007. George Lazenby does a decent job of showing us a more human, vulnerable Bond. Another great John Barry music score helps.

Fine sequel to Casino Royale. Fast, stylized and genuinely entertaining. Improves with repeated viewings.

Connery reprises his role as a middle-aged Bond with mixed results. As a rival production it suffers in its lack of focus. Has its moments but, with Connery on board, should have been better.

As Connery's personal low in the series it is somewhat of a goof. Jill St. John is very easy on the eyes though.

Bond embraces the world of CGI and video game type action. Features the beauty of Berry and is a fitting swan song for Pierce Brosnan.
