Actually, iPhone 3G, not iPod (but Amazon doesn't sell them, so I can't add it to the list). If you're on the road, you need a smart phone to stay in touch, check you mail, send images, access files,... Choose the one with the best data and voice coverage in your area. Some are better for data, some for photo/lifestyle. I'm a Mac, and the iPhone has been indispensable.

The sound is great, plus nothing behind the ear to get in the way of glasses. Comes with a carrying case/charger. Never wear an earpiece when face-to-face with customers; it's just rude!!

Listen to your mp3 music, audio books, podcasts, etc. to pass the highway miles.

Canon really shouldn't call this a photo printer, it's an all purpose printer that produces top notch desktop quality documents and photos in a portable form factor. Thin enough to pack in a laptop bag.

If I got to pick my work camera, I'd go with the SD880IS. It has a more ergonomic curved edge and wide-angle (28mm equivalent); indoors, when you can't always back up enough, wide angle can be pretty handy.

Like the MP980, but more business than home oriented. This would be my strong 2nd choice because of the sheet feeder, but since I don't have home phone line, don't need a fax. Individual ink tanks, full duplex (fax & scanning). Amazing photos, too, but no gray ink. Smaller and less expensive than similarly featured HPs.

I have an older version with 6 outside pockets, my everyday schlepper. Went with leather after tearing through several nylon totes. It's heavy, but has held up well. Room for wallet, camera, cosmetics, lunch, water bottle, Kindle,... Look for wide straps that don't dig. 15" MacBook Pro is a tight fit.
