Numerous diet books are available for arthritics, but this appears to be one of the best and most comprehensive. Aesoph, a naturopathic physician and medical writer who has written many articles on this topic, covers both traditional and alternative resources. She gives natural dietary information that may reverse and certainly improve many cases of arthritis as well as other auto-immune diseases. Much of her material is not new, but it is refreshingly presented and useful to have compiled in one place. Aesoph discusses "restorative" foods as well as "stressor" food to avoid. She also explains food allergies, outlining simple methods to test for them, and gives medical references for her information. A better purchase than Philip Welsh and Leonardo Bianca's Freedom from Arthritis Through Nutrition (LJ 9/15/92), Aesoph's book is highly recommended for all health collections. Good useful information, wanders a bit though.
The author has this chatty style of writing, a bit disorganzied, if you ask me, but the information is very useful, and I read and re read many parts of the book. I have had frequent flarups of my psoratic arthritis lately, and the advise in the book has lead me to treatments that have helped me onto the road to recovery.
Gout is a form of Arthritis too!!
This book is amazing. I followed the plan and my Gout, the constant pain in my legs and tendonitus all went away within a month. I highly recommend this book no matter what form of Arthritus you have. JUST DO IT! It will not only change your life but give you your life back.
How to Eat Away Arthritis
I think this is a great book as it has a lot of good information regarding food intolerances that results in Arthritis and Pain, which I suspected certain foods as a contributing factor and then found this book which confirmed it for me. I liked it so much, I bought three copies to give to my ailing Arthritic Brothers.
