great for drills...
These bits and the holder are great for drills. They don't hold up with impact drivers into hard wood so well. They are better than most bits in this regard, but there are impact rated bits for these applications. If you have a drill/driver or use your impact driver in softer woods, these will do the trick. If you need tougher bits these are not them.

Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. There are not really other products that will do a better job for less.

Without bit the driver is about 3 3/4" when it is collapsed. The driver is good quality with little play in the sleeve. The sleeve turns smoothly. Not really sure what would do the job better for the price. Take a look around these drivers are usually at least this price without any bits.

The bits are good quality with square corners on the points. I like this type better because it tends to slip less in a Phillips head.

The case ... well that is hard plastic with a hinged cap. Nothing special but I did not buy this for the case. That said it is not horrible either just don't throw it against a hard surface and you should be ok.
