Features
- The FEED Project is a partnership between the United Nations World Food Programme and Lauren Bush, WFP Honorary Spokesperson.
- A school meal every day for a year can transform a child's life and provide the tools for a lifetime of self-reliance. School feeding is a simple but effective way to beat hunger and poverty.
- School feeding acts as a magnet, dramatically increasing enrollment, sometimes by as much as 100 percent. It also improves performance at school; Children concentrate better on a full stomach.
- Girls who go to school not only marry later, but have half as many children than illiterate women. Furthermore, these children are healthier and better educated.

Amazon.com Product Description
What could be better than shopping? Helping others. This FEED Project bag lets you do both. Buying just one of these sturdy, reversible, reusable bags allows the UN World Food Programme to provide an entire school year's worth of nutritious meals to a hungry child.
From the Manufacturer
Hunger and malnutrition are the No. 1 risk to global health, killing more people than AIDS, malaria, and TB combined. In fact, every five seconds, a child dies because he or she is hungry. The FEED bag is a product of the United Nations World Food Programme, and was designed to raise awareness and funds for hungry children. Each FEED bag sold will provide a school year of meals for one child in need and give them the hope of an education and a regular meal. Whether you tote your FEED bag to school, work, play, or shopping, remember that your bag helped to feed and educate a child.

GOOD IDEA YET MISLEADING
When I first saw this, I thought it was such a wonderful idea! I'm disappointed in the price though-when I received it, it stated that only $20.00 of my dollars would be going to the fund. Top it off, made in China. Where does the rest of the $$ go? It's better to give directly so that MORE OF YOUR DOLLARS GO WHERE THEY ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED!!
FEEL LIKE A STAR!*****
"Throughout my time as a volunteer, I have gotten to travel to 7 countries around the world (Guatemala, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Chad, Lesotho, Tanzania, and Honduras) that are all receiving food aid from WFP. The people I have met during my travels struggle each day to obtain one of the most basic human needs--food. It breaks my heart to think that every 5 seconds a child dies needlessly of hunger and malnutrition."
When I read what Lauren Bush said, my immediate thought was that I could provide at least one hungry child with food for one year by purchasing this bag. I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed income. By lowering my food expenses $10 for six weeks I purchased this bag (free shipping from Amazon). I, now, use this bag to purchase my weekly groceries. Not only am I feeding one child for a year, I also am doing my small part for the environment by not using the plastic/paper containers.
Thank you! ...Ann Forster, Foxborough, MA
Love it!
I love this (tote) bag. Good quality, very sturdy. I like that it is reversible, it's like having two bags in one! The white side makes it look sporty and the other side it's for a more natural look. On the white side it has three pockets, one on the front (could store a magazine) and two on the sides (perfect for cell pone, keys, etc). I will take this bag with me to classes, travels, oh... and I guess it could even work for my knitting stuff! Add to all above that it's for a good cause... excellent!
