Customer Reviews

Dependable name5
At first I was skeptical because this gun is so inexpensive on Amazon but don't let it fool you. Senco knows how to make a quality gun since they were one of the first to do so. Because of the full head nails, you reload more often then most other guns so this isn't for speed framers. Received many compliments from fellow carpenters.

Senco FramePro 5024
This nail gun arrived on time and in good condition. So far, I have shot about 1/4 of a carton of 16D nails with no jams, misfires or other problems.

This is a somewhat cheapend version of prior Senco models. It does not have a depth of fire adjuster on the tip. So, you have to adjust compressor pressure to adjust depth of nail-set. It also did not come with the rubber anti-mar tip cover, despite the literature saying it does.

The price was very good compared to other guns on the market. Certainly better than the super cheapo combo kits you find in the retail stores

Does Not Have Adjustable "Depth of Drive"2
The FramePro 502 is similar to other brand nail guns where depth-of-drive control is not a desired feature. The gun has a fixed depth of drive that places the nail head about 3/16" below flush, leaving a corresponding open and somewhat ragged hole above the nail head. The depth setting is not adjustable. While I have seen some mention of a "flush drive" adapter, no such adapter was shipped with the nailer nor did Senco customer service acknoledge such an adapter. At last check, the Amazon.com specifications indicate adjustable depth of drive for this model, however, this model DOES NOT feature adjustable depth control. The error comes from the original Amazon listing which other merchant store fronts link to. For this reason the error is widespread on internet listings. I ended up returning this model and ordering the more expensive Senco FramePro 702.

Other than the depth of drive issue, the nail gun operates well and had no difficulty driving .313 nails. It ships with a single fire trigger configuration (gun tip must be placed/depressed, followed by a trigger pull). Parts are included which allow converstion between contact and sequential activation.

My overall product rating was low because of Amazon.com's depth-of-drive specification error. Otherwise, I found no negative issues with the nail gun and would have rated it highly (as a non-depth-adjustable tool).
