![]() | Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black)
Buy new: $28.94 These are legendary for their sound quality (especially bass response) and value. They have a "J-type" cable so that the right ear connects to the lefts ear which then leads to the 3.5" connector.
I have seen the prices on these fluctuate from ~$23 to ~$31, so if you want these just be patient and keep checking the prices.

![]() | Sennheiser CX 400 In-Ear Headphone (Black)
The newer version of the CX300. These come with a "Y-type" adapter where each ear has the same length cable connecting to a central "Y" junction (as is typical with headphones). These get very good reviews for sound quality (especially bass response) and value. The cable is fairly short which is ideal for using an armband.
Cable winder, carrying case, and extension cable included.

![]() | Sennheiser MM50 iP Earbuds / Headset (iPhone Compatible)
Buy new: $50.95 / Used from: $49.99 These are Sennheiser's attempt to merge their CX line of headphones with true iPhone functionality. They have good reviews for sounds quality (especially bass response), comfort, and value. They have an inline mic/button.
Some reviews have stated that the cord-guards (near the plug) are not very substantial and may lead to breakage over time.

![]() | Sennheiser CX 500-B In-Ear Headphone (Black)
These are yet a newer version of the CX300 and comes with double-flange tips (as well as a carrying case and cable winder/holder like the CX400). I have not been able to find much information about them as far as reviews go.
There are several other well-documented headphones in the price range these are approaching - so the value is questionable in my opinion.

![]() | Shure I2C-M Stereo Mobile Headset
Buy new: $119.00 / Used from: $29.90 These seem to be excellent headphones as far as sound quality goes. Shure has some of the best reviews out there at pretty much every level. Provide good isolation and sound quality as well as iPhone functionality with the mic/button. For all this, ~$40 is an outstanding price.
However, there have been some comments about not fitting in ears comfortably.

![]() | Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphone with Balanced Armiture Driver, White
Buy new: $88.86 / Used from: $67.95 These have excellent reviews and seem to be outstanding headphones. Shure is a true leader in IEM technology and has outstanding headphones at pretty much every level.
These are not as bass driven as the Sennheisers, but do seem to provide a good balance of sound.
As with the I2C-MP's, these may not be as comfortable in the ear as some other IEM's.

![]() | NuForce NE-7M Stereo Earphones / Headset (iPhone Compatible)
Buy new: $49.00 Reviews for these little-known headphones are few and far between. However, the few reviews that I have found report outstanding performance and value, including several audiophile reviews from the head-fi.org forums. They also feature an inline mic/button for iPhone functionality. Carrying case included.
If I could get more information I would likely buy these.

However, cable-guards near the plug are prone to breakage.
