Customer Reviews
Just be warned - not a perfect solution
Okay this is a bunch of screws and a wrench, so no long review is needed here.
I was telling a friend about the fancy license plate I bought - "VIPRMAN" for the back of my 2000 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe - and this screw kit that I purchased.
She told me that as an avid biker, a lot of bike shops sell these exact screws and the required wrenches to cut down on theft of bikes and/or bike parts.
Whereas it's still a theft "deterrent," don't expect these to be a perfect solution. To assist, I installed all four screws, instead of the usual two. The wrenches are a pain in the butt (can usually only get 1/2 turn before it hits the bumper) so I figured it'd take someone too long to steal it, and they wouldn't bother.
Just a warning - they work great, but they're not exclusive.
Locking Fastners
Total waste of money. Did not fit! Had to purchase a set
from a local auto store.
These are meant to deter theft and not prevent it
These fasteners are small for standard licence plate frams but work fine if you have a washer there.
Again...these are meant to deter theft and are not full proof security against licence pte theft. The jack used to unscrew these can be purchased at a locl store I believe but are rare to find. They can in no way unscrewed using a standard philips screw-driver.
Would recommend this product.
